Our new album will finally be available on just about every download and streaming platform, as well as on vinyl and CD on Friday, July 24th! Stay tuned for much more info as this is a big one for us, but for now I'm including the lyrics for all of the songs. We weren't able to include them in the package this time, so here they are.
Thank you to engineers Brad Lauchert, Mike Bridges, and Joey Bastian of GCR Audio and Mammoth Recording Studio in Buffalo, NY for helping power us through this one. And also to Kevin Kurecki for his awesome artwork. I need to mention several more thank you's so there will be more to come. We finished the tracking off at my home recording studio, and we hope this one is your favorite yet! If you're having trouble finding the LP, most links will be available at: marshmellowovercoat.hearnow.com -Tyler and the guys Castles They Live In They come from California And no one tried to warn you About their record deal Their boss lives in a hotel He stays on your money Until your album’s done When they ask you to go but they don’t tell you where and when are they just gonna free you? When the spineless show the castles they live in and when are they just gonna free you? Won’t you please? What to do now I’ve learned all about it The engineer told me They came from Pennsylvania They couldn’t quite explain you Until they come undone When they ask you to go but they don’t tell you where and when are they just gonna free you? When the spineless show the castles they live in and when are they just gonna free you? Won’t you please? Walkin’ Tonight Can’t make it alone This train travels on A whirlwind of people With dreams dashed and gone Walkin’ tonight In the city Want you tonight In the city It’s strange being ‘round without you I heard someone calling A spirit in my mind A bus nearly clipped me Can’t make it on time And I couldn’t do I Wrote A Letter To You I wrote a letter to you About the things that you do And so far in this love I wrote a letter to you So what I’d say for myself Regarding how hard I’m trying And up to this point I am I wrote a letter to you And then they take you to the bar one night But there’s no one there to see When you finally make it through your life (the light) And your old favorite song is playing But it’s not the same I wrote a letter to you Expressing all that you’ve done And from this day on my one I wrote a letter to you On The Rooftop Went on back to the Place where I grew up Someone had gone through Either blown down or blew up Everything and reason To go there in the first place Seemed that it no longer Would be my place Can’t stop another Can’t watch another Let’s just try and make it right together Can’t stop another Can’t watch another Let’s just try and make it right together Went on back to the Old shop downtown I used the place when I was Burned out and down I asked the old lady working Where is my friend, please On the rooftop, losing His sanity In The Morning Until today it was Any other day You end up later on thinking In the morning Crawlin’ out of your little doom And stop pacing through every room A sure fire way In the morning Was myself before I’d be But no one knew it was me Was myself before I’d be But no one knew it was me Don’t lock the dreams away They’ll come back another day Like a violet in bloom In the morning I Wanted To Be Like You Rolling up with a shake weight Outside the window Been flying down the road a bit too fast Already set up shop Down out the sports bar Gonna make this long weekend last I wanted to be like you I wanted to be… I wanted to be like you Something else about it to see Many years have gone by Your input’s still the same Don’t make it to Coudy anymore Running out of patience But not for our Buffalo Bills Missing seeing you and what's in store Please Don’t Go Girl I spotted you from a mile away Such a same that you don’t think you can stay Can’t take it don’t you know Ooh baby baby, please don’t go Got a hold on me, girl I can’t shake It’s getting to be too much to take Girl I promise you won’t shed a tear As long as you can tell me what I wanna hear Come Back, Man! The place where nothing’s wrong Won’t ever be the same It all comes undone with everything Wanted to look away But I found nothing was real and Things that won’t change They won’t matter anymore Come back, man Wanna meet you where I am, and we’ll Come back, man Wanna see you again Come on and look out Nothing’s wrong when it’s changing Things that weren’t true yesterday remain Harbingers of peace Desperate from before Things that won't change They won't matter anymore Strumming Up The River One day me and baby Went for a ride in our canoe Seemed no other world Could come between us two We’d do anything To fight against the brews And we’d go strummin’ up the river With the baby blues As the night approached Upon the riverflow It seemed my baby slipped Into the undertow We'd do anything To fight and not to lose Strummin' up the river With the baby blues
